You really think Mother Gothel is worst than Frollo? All she told Rapunzel was that the world outside her tower was dangerous and it would hurt her physically. Frollo told Quasimodo everyday that he was a monster. I think someone has to listen to the song “Out There” again. Also when Frollo is reviewing the alphabet with Quasimodo the words used are Abomination, Blasphemy Contrition, Damnation, Eternal Damnation. So don’t you dare say that Mother Gothel has anything on Frollo. Quasimodo was truly restricted in a negative environment.
Amen to the Frollo vs Gothel comment.
Mother Gothel did insult Rapunzel, though. Yeah, it was mostly “little” things that were usually followed with “I’m only kidding!” (emphasis on “usually”), but stuff like that still hurts.
And here’s something else to think about: Quasimodo was actively afraid of Frollo from the very beginning, whereas Rapunzel spent her first eighteen years of life thinking that Gothel was her mother in every emotional sense.
I’m not saying that any one of these is “worse” than the others, but I don’t think any case should be downplayed so easily, either.

i would just like to say that it is ENTIRELY Supernatural’s fault that i’m reblogging this.

Okay in my case the only reason is that I’ve been listening to demon sounds from the neighboring horse farms ALL NIGHT and I’m already freaked out so TAKING NO CHANCES.
And yes, I’ve been living by these farms for 20 years and these sounds are definitely not normal.
